For over twenty years Aqua UV
has manufactured units for medical and drinking water uses and now is applying
that same high quality to the aquarium industry. All units are UL Listed
and use transformers, not ballasts. Transformers are self starting,
thermally protected and designed for outdoor use. Units are built with a
lifetime warranted weather and UV resistant polymer housing. Premium
quartz sleeves allow the lamps to operate at their optimal temperature.
Also there are no metal bushings to break the sleeve when changing the
lamps. Aqua UV uses a slim line 4-pin Vicor hard quartz glass lamp for
ultimate output and an industry high 14 month lamp life, under continuous
operation. Please Note: This UV sterilizer is available with 3/4" barbed hose fittings
or 2" slip PVC fittings. When ordering, please select the fitting size for
your application.
